Comments
Synthesis: In this synthesis of a tetrasubstituted tetrazole, a by-product can be formed. That is a tri-substituted tetrazole lacking the amine component.
Work-up: After the reaction, water was added to the reaction mixture in an attempt to get the product to crystallize. Instead, excess of the diketo compound (starting material) precipitated, which was filtered off.
Purification: The product was purified by preparative RP-LCMS.
